The Maktab-ul-Hidaya building, inaugurated in 1967 and later renamed “Finey School” in 2003, provides education up to grade 10, currently enrolling 91 students. Finey thrives as a fertile island, with agriculture serving as the primary means of livelihood for many residents. The council has allocated 80 plots of 10,000 acres for private individuals to engage in agricultural activities. Additionally, 4 plots have been leased for long-term commercial farming, fostering agricultural prosperity. The farmers cultivate a diverse range of fruits and vegetables, reaping the rewards of their endeavors. Skilled weaving traditions also flourish on the island, with both men and women adept in the art.
